  27.   Magellan Explorer is a filemanager for Windows 95/98, NT 4.0 and
  28.   Windows 2000. In addition to being capable of performing the basic 
  29.   functionality already found in Windows Explorer, Magellan Explorer
  30.   offers a wide range of functions, features and modes to make your file
  31.   management easy and flexible. Among these are:

  47. 2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  50.   In order to run Magellan Explorer, your system must meet these
  51.   specifications:

  53.    o  An IBM PC or compatible that meets the minimum hardware
  54.       requirements for your version of Microsoft Windows.

  56.    o  Windows NT 4.0 (or higher) or Windows 95/98 installed and
  57.       configured on your system.

  59.    o  You need the Wininet.dll library. Most systems already have it 
  60.       installed, but it is included with the Magellan Explorer 
  61.       package and will be installed if you need it.

  104.   dragging to, or from. Create shortcuts by dragging files to the

  106.   method. You can even drag files from within archives directly onto

  257.   menu (press Alt-H or click on Help), then select Help Contents from

  286. 5.  KNOWN PROBLEMS OR LIMITATIONS

  289.   All the items on this list are being worked on and will be fixed in
  290.   later releases.

  292.     o  If you use ACD System's PicaView utility under Microsoft 
  293.        Windows 98 and get no thumbnail in the context menu please
  294.        check 'Compability Mode' in PicaView's Options.
  295.  
  296.     o  If you have the original versions of some system libraries
  297.        that shipped with the first release of Microsoft Windows 95
  298.        Magellan Explorer is unable to display the Filter dialog and
  299.        Order Wizard. This does not apply to Windows NT 4.0 or 
  300.        Windows 98.

  302.        To correct this problem reinstall Magellan Explorer and make
  303.        sure you install the updated Common Control libraries.
  304.  
  305.     o  Batch files started by custom tools will keep their command
  306.        window open until the user manually closes it. To make the
  307.        window automatically close when the batch file completes
  308.        put "command.com" in the Command field and "/C " in front of
  309.        the batch file in the Arguments field (both without the quotes).

  312. 6.  INSTALLING AND UNINSTALLING INSTRUCTIONS

  319.   The Magellan Explorer installation program is a Microsoft Windows
  320.   application.

  322.   You must have Microsoft Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0 (or higher) 
  323.   installed prior to installing Magellan Explorer.

  325.   Please perform the following steps:
  326.  
  327.   1. Start Windows, if you haven't already done so.
  328.  
  329.   2. Double-click on the installation executable to start the
  330.      installation wizard.

  332.   3. Follow the instructions given in the Wizard.

  339.   If after installing Magellan Explorer, you find it necessary
  340.   to remove the software from your computer, perform the following steps:

  342.   1. Open the Windows Control Panel

  346.   3. Select 'Magellan Explorer' from the list of applications that can 
  347.      uninstalled by Windows.

  349.   4. Click on the Add/Remove button to uninstall it.
